DIY LBD + Aldo Heeled Sandals

Happy Thursday!

I can almost reach Friday! and boy can I tell ya I have a lot going on. I have started the sewing on the skirts ordered and should be shipping the first few by Wednesday so that is awesome, I also have a project I am working on with another blogger (I’ll disclose that soon enough) and to top it all off my baby’s birthday is tomorrow and he turns 5 and Sunday is Mothers Day!
I made this dress before in a wine color and loved it so I made another one in black months and months ago but never got around to wearing it. The pattern is McCall’s 5705 which is out of print BUT I think you can still order it on the website. Speaking of McCall’s….Hobby Lobby has McCall Patterns on sale for .99 cents so if you live near a Hobby Lobby you may want to stop in and grab a few patterns.
In Store Only Until 5/12
What I Wore: Pattern Review

Pattern Description: Short dresses have elastic casings at waist; dresses

Pattern Sizing: I cut the 4 on top and 8 on the bottom

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes

Were the instructions easy to follow? The instructions are easy to follow and if you have made any of my maxi dresses or skirts you can make this.

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I like how easy this pattern is because sometimes I like to make no brainer items that take little effort or brain power, lol

Fabric Used: ITY Knit Black

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: None

Would you sew it again? No, I have already made it once before so I think I will retire it.

Would you recommend it to others? Yes
