DIY TOP + Wide Leg Jeans & Editing Updates

Hello Darlings!
Im so exaushted, I feel like a hamster on those spinning wheels that won’t stop, LOL! so many things have been going on at once and I am trying s hard to stay on top of it all. I will be catching up on email this weekend so bare with me; I will respond but need a few more days please. I think we need to start a “Mimi Quits Her Day Job Fund” LMBO so I can just do this blog…
Anyway so I have been editing the first portion of this tutorial and it is coming along fantastic, so excited to finish it! This one has some extra wonderful stuff to learn and is also LONG so editing is taking a bit longer than usual. I also have added options to this tutorial (i.e. Jumper to Romper, Strapless or Tank etc.) I am hoping to be all done by the morning…fingers crossed.
Today I am wearing this UBER comfy oversized top I made using McCalls 6556 which is a SUPER EASY pattern, I think it is labeled as a dress which I will prob make again in a fancier fabric but I knew I wanted a casual one for my jeans 😉

  1. I'm a new follower & I swear I'm not violent. But I would snatch this top/dress off of your body and run away as fast as I can! (Hopefully I'm not in wedges the day I do this!)

  2. Great look Miss Thing! Love your polish (invasive question #77: do you polish your own nails? I love that they always pop with your outfit. If you do, any tips so that my weekly mani-pedi fund can be added to my fabric fund? 🙂 ).That top is DIVINE!

  3. I love how everything came out! I wish you would have worn it with skinny jeans or by itself to show the beauty more.your nail polish is cute and I cant wait for the video your editing to come out!

  4. I love the shirt so cute and chic and of course I luv the polish I have the exact same color in fact I have all the Sally Hanson Xtreme wear colors they are bright last long and the price for 1 bottle is great OPI who lol ***Aisha B***

  5. Awesomeness! I am heading to Joann right now to get the pattern for this top. I am soooo attempting this one too…I just love it! Any tips or "gotchas" I should be aware of? If so, please share. Thanks.

  6. Love that top. I must have looked at that pattern like 20 times on sale, and I kept doubting it because of the girl on the package. Maybe they should replace it with your pic. Ibet more girls would buy it then! Lol. I'm gonna but it now and make that thing. Love how it looks on you. You rock it well

  7. I have to agree with Tiffanie This top/dress is Definitely a snatch and run lol Absolutely Amazing! I don't sew and don't know nobody that sews but I am going to need this in my life period.

  8. You look fab as usual! Thanks for all of the inspiration. BTW ladies, I bought this pattern at Hancock's in VA today where ALL of the McCall's Patterns (except Easy Stitch and Sew & "High Fashion"(?) are $1.49…YES – One Dollar and Forty Nine Cents. I already cut my pattern. The sale ends tomorrow…
